Boobs

What is the deal with eveyone...and I mean everyone asking if I breastfeed. I don't ask people what they do with their boobs. So why ask about mine? Is it really up for public discussion the choice that we made and why or why not I am breastfeeding.

Routine

I feel that we are starting to establish a routine to some degree. In the beginning that was impossible with all the people that were coming over. I have been intrigued by the interest of some peole with wanting to be in lil mans life. There has also been a strange absence of some people. People that badgered the shit out of me to get pregnant in the first place. I have a stance that I wil not call people to come see my boy. If you want to see him and spend time with him, you call me.

I am feeling "back to myself" for the most part if you neglect the sleep deprevation! HAHAHA. Overall it isn't so bad. The nights that he struggles with the relux suck.

Yes he has silent reflux. The ped. is having us put rice cereal in his bottles to see if this helps. If not then we will move on to medications. I hope that we can avoid that. The rice cereal seems to be helping but we are slowly increasing the quantity until we get to the correct amount in hopes that we avoid constipation. The poor guy already fights pooping. He grunts and screams and I thought he had constipation but the doc said that he is trying not to go. I had never heard of this but he says it is normal. I hope he grows out of it because he breaks my heart when he screams like that!

Baby boy has made is debut. VIA C SECTION! He was huge and after 12 hours of labor we opted to get him out before things could turn bad. It has been interesting adjusting to being a mom and recovering from a surgery at the same time. It is fun when baby needed to eat or be changed and I needed to pee. Oh yes I couldn't walk to the bathroom by myself. It hurt to damn bad to get on/off toilet. And I thought I was uncomfortable my last month. HAHAHA!

More to come on the joys of hormones, maybe some of the stupid things people have said and how it annoying it is that people want me to call them to come over to see the baby.

The 9 th month

The 9th month sucks...Thank you!

I am uncomfortable. Everything hurts. This kid is huge. He is on bladder now. I still have a week and a half to my due date. I have had 3 false labors and each one is making me a bigger bitch. People keep calling to see if I am in labor. How about I call you when I want you to know? See...a bitch! I blame the sleepless nights, the shitty days and the overall pain.

So I believe the 9th month is horrible so that you welcome the pain of labor just to get it over with!

Oh Joy!

I had a check up today. It was fine until they told me to undress from the waist down. I thought this began at 36 weeks. I am approaching 35, so I was a little surprised. At any rate the check for dialation does not feel good. In fact it damn hurt. I cramped like a mother and could barely get off the stupid table. I am told that it doesn't even compare to a contraction.

OH JOY!

Life hands you lemons...pucker up

Tis the season...my husband is being laid off. It is such a great time of year for such excitement! Not only is it the holidays but I am pregnant so having no income should be a blasty blast. Atleast we have seen this coming and have been able to save some money since no one in the area is hiring.

I just need to keep reminding myself that I need to stay positive and calm for my lil man.

Pediatrician

So I have got to pick a pediatrician. I made an appt today since I keep forgetting to do so. I thought I would feel better after having atleast narrowed it down to 2 possible doctors but I have no idea what to ask. I really don't want a doc who is over the top with you can't do this or that. I want someone with realisitic expectations and guidelines of dos and don't to raise a healthy baby. I guess I need to come up with a couple of probing questions to get them talking and just try to get a feeling off of what they say.
